Description

NOTE: This is not how I normally draw, but a representation of a child's drawing. So err, please don't judge my artistic abilities on these. This is just more or less for fun :P

Lauris Saemanion - Medical Log -

"It seems like Calius is starting to open up a bit about her time on Seta. It seems drawing is really working for her. Not only is she able to express her emotions and past better this way, it's making her get in touch with her childhood again. Although, I would like to see Calius draw her captor, I'm seeing progress none of the less.

This is Calius' first drawing which I found was really odd. She explained to me that the horses in the picture are named Bajai (The black one) and the other she simply called 'The Dished Head Stallion." For this reports sake, I'll call him 'Dish' since he really caught my eye in particular. You can see that Dish is tied up in multiple places, even his legs. Calius is offering water to Dish. She said he refused all food she tried to give him and was always very angry looking. When I asked her about the ropes, she explained that Kash had ordered her to tie him down and make him unable to stand or walk. Upon looking into this, I learned this is practice that was done with veal calves. Calius further explained that Kash wanted to eat Dish. Giving the lack of life on Seta, this isn't surprising but very disturbing that he (Kash) would force such a young child to subdue a large creature like this. It makes me wonder if Calius was ever subjected to such treatment. When I asked about the black horse, she said that Kash allowed her to keep him, since he big and strong enough to pull and carry supplies. Calius seemed very keen on talking about Bajai and Dish, and this was honestly the most conversation I've had with her. Although I'm concerned that maybe some of her story is fabricated, as she told me that Dish escaped, and when she followed him, he turned into a bird and flew away. But this is progress...

I will continue to try and reach out to Calius with this type of therapy. It's the only one shes responded to thus far that has given me any sort of result."

This will be a series of really simple drawings made by me of the drawings Calius did during her therapy sessions on the Defiant. It's interesting to try and draw as simple as possible and actually put effort and meaning into it.

IDK thought it would be interesting to do :P

This is actually very pretty, in its simplistic way. Calius is a good artist for her age! The landscape/composition is really balanced and nice, and the horses are cute and well-put-together too. :)

Is this "Dish" actually Q's horse form, by any chance? I'm glad it got away, regardless! How horrible of Kash. :(
