This is the new original story I was talking about. No I haven't forgotten about the sequel to Another Day in Paradise but I do have this one here in the works on the rough draft.
This idea was actually inspired by a post on Tumblr. It was a simple post, it has four actors, two of them Benedict Cumerbatch and Asa Butterfield (along with two others who I dont know). The post said they would like to see these four play in a movie as brothers, which inspired me to do this little story. A tiny part from my sequel to ADIP inspired the title as I needed a name for the birth father of the two boys you see in the picture and combined with my love of African culture(which honestly doesn't have too big of an impact in the movie but South Africa is home to the main characters) came The Social Will of Cambridge Wells which I had first titled "The Brothers, Social."
The Characters shown are:
Knoa (pronouced like Noah ) Brimshaw (age 27) and his young brother Eilye (age 11)Knoa Brimshaw was about to have his life long dreams come true, attending university in Cape Town, South Africa and working toward being a African Culture Historian, however, when his mother falls mentally ill, his birth father threatens to take custody of his young brother Eilye. Knoa leaves and wins guardianship over his two-timing father, but all at the loss of his dreams.
A few years later, Know and Eilye's mother had passed away, no longer having the will to live. Knoa now struggles to keep the roof of their small farm over their heads and food on the table. But when a mysterious package arrives for them in their small South African village, everything changes.
It turns out the package is from none other than Cambridge Wells, their now deceased father. Contained in a USB, is a video stating Wells' will, informing Knoa and Eilye of an inheritance that is waiting for them, but in able for them to get it, they must find their two half brothers and all come to Seattle, Washington to hear the last part of the video message and receive their sum. Eilye is eager but Knoa is relentless, but when he loses his job due to the terrible drought they've been having, Knoa is left with no choice but to take on his father's odd request.
Using Social Media to help them, and the unknown amount on the pre-loaded credit card given by their father, the boys set out on the most important venture of their lives, to unite with the only family they have left.
Yeah yeah I know its another "Real life drama" No magical beings or fantasy....hence why I probably wont post the story on here at all since no one seems to like real life dramas. But I will post concept artwork and scenes from the novel as I slowly write it, as True Colors is still my main priority until its done.
Will post credits to the backgrounds I used later. Its late and I need to get to work tomorrow.
Hope you like the teaser poster thing
